Who it's for

Teams where the wrong swap costs you a morning

If a shift needs a certain kind of person on it, and people trade shifts all the time, EveShift is for you. Here is how it fits five kinds of team, and people who just want their own schedule in one place.

Cafés and restaurants

Early openings, late closings, and a lot of part-timers with classes and second jobs. The usual rules: a manager on duty and a keyholder on every shift, enough baristas and cashiers, and a current food handler card for everyone behind the counter.

The rest-between-shifts heads-up catches the closing-then-opening pair before someone works it.

Typical rules

  • Opening1 manager on duty · 1 keyholder · 2 baristas · 1 cashier · everyone: food handler card
  • Closing1 manager on duty · 1 keyholder · 1 barista · 1 cashier
  • Reminder10 h between a closing and the next opening

Stores

Someone has to open the doors and someone has to count the drawer. Keyholder and cash-handling coverage per shift, a stock crew before opening, and extra cashiers on weekends. Two locations? Each has its own defaults.

Several cities have advance-notice rules for larger retailers. Turn on the reminder and EveShift notes when a change lands inside the window, and keeps the worker's written request.

Typical rules

  • Open1 manager on duty · 1 keyholder · 1 cashier · 1 on the sales floor
  • Close1 manager on duty · 1 keyholder · 2 cashiers
  • Reminder14 days' advance notice

Clinics and care teams

A supervisor on site, a licensed nurse on every shift, front desk covered, and CPR certification for everyone. Licenses and certificates carry expiry dates, and an expired one stops counting on that date, so the schedule never quietly depends on it.

Typical rules

  • Day1 supervisor · 1 licensed nurse · 1 front desk · 1 medical assistant · everyone: CPR
  • StopsA nurse whose license expired yesterday can't pick up today's shift

Campus jobs and volunteer crews

Lots of people, few hours each, schedules that change every semester. Students paste their class calendar as "busy only", so the coordinator sees who's free without seeing what class it is. Workers who are 14 or 15 get the federal hour reminders.

The free schedule maker is a good start for a small crew.

Typical rules

  • Desk1 trained lead · 2 people
  • Heads-upAges 14–15: 3 h on a school day, 18 h in a school week

Teams inside a bigger company

Your employer's scheduling system is the official record, but your team trades shifts in a group chat. Each person can paste their employer's calendar feed into EveShift, so the team sees everyone's week in one place and can sort out trades under the same rules before asking the official system.

How it works here

  • InEach person's employer feed, busy only
  • OutOne team calendar link for everyone's phone

People with more than one job

A front-desk job on weekdays, catering on weekends, and two pay schedules. Sign up on your own, add both jobs, and see every shift in one week. Clock in when the real time differs, and check each paycheck against an estimate that counts your overtime, tips and taxes. It's in English and Spanish, and what you earn stays private: a team sees the hours you work for it, and your hourly rate only if it gives someone payroll access, which your account shows.
