Why we're building EveShift

We build websites and business apps for small businesses at Web Landscapes, a Florida company. For a lot of small teams, the schedule lives in a spreadsheet or a photo of a whiteboard, and swaps happen in a group chat.

That works until two people trade shifts, both are happy, and at 6 AM on Saturday nobody with a key is at the door. The rule was never written down anywhere a swap could see it.

EveShift writes it down. Each team says what every shift needs, and the schedule checks every change against it, explains a "no" in one sentence, and suggests who could cover.

We take sign-in security seriously because a schedule tells people where your staff will be and when. Managers use two-step sign-in, calendars are shared as "busy" unless someone chooses otherwise, and every change is in the history.

Pay is the other thing people care about. Hours and pay estimates belong to the person who earns them: encrypted at rest, not shown to managers or owners (a team can let one role see hourly rates, and each person sees who has it), and in English or Spanish, whichever they read.
